Animals Up for Adoption

Below are some amazing animals that might make you very, very happy.

Adam

Male, DSH gray & brown tabby, 1-2yrs

Adam is a super sweet 1-2 year old boy who was found outside in a box next to a dumpster. A good samaritan realized that was no place for a cat to be and Adam came to Red Door. He's a very lovable and playful boy, who is just as happy exploring as he is sitting on your lap for some love.

If you are interested please contact Red Door Animal Shelter at 773-764-2242 or visit their website at www.reddoorshelter.org/.

Jasper and Alice

Male and Female, Californian, 1-2yrs

Jasper and Alice are a gorgeous and sweet pair of brother/sister, eight-pound, one-year-old, Californian rabbits. They have rich silky white coats and beautiful pink-blue eyes. They were found living outside and when Alice fell into a window well, Jasper stood beside the well waiting for someone to rescue her. We dont know how long they were there, but this devoted boy never left her side. They are very friendly and enjoy big salads and fresh hay.

If you are interested please contact Red Door Animal Shelter at 773-764-2242 or visit their website at www.reddoorshelter.org/.

Bee Bee

Male, Turkish Van Mix, 1-2yrs

"Hi, I'm Bee Bee! Before I tell you about myself, I want to get something clear...something that people always remark about, always have to bring up, as if it wasn't obvious enough... and yes, I'm well aware of it. So let's just get it out there: my big bushy tail. I can't help it, I was born this way! People tend to think it makes me very unique and distinguished looking. Please stop by and introduce yourself so we can talk about the meaning of life, and about how cute my tail is. Even though I'm at Red Door, I really loved it when I had a home where I got all of the individual love and attention I need. I would love to meet you!"

If you are interested please contact Red Door Animal Shelter at 773-764-2242 or visit their website at www.reddoorshelter.org/.

Serenity

click on the images to the right for a larger version

My name is Serenity. I am a 4-year old female pit mix with more love to give than could possibly fit in my 40-lb body. My story is a sad one and includes being found wandering the streets looking for food and spending time at a high-kill shelter before ending up in rescue. I am trying to put that in the past and am looking forward to the day when I finally find a home to call my own.

I am eager to please and a quick learner. In fact I have already mastered SIT, STAY, DOWN, DROP, COME, PICK-IT-UP, PAW, KISSES and I am anxious to continue my training.

Because of what I have been through it can take me a few minutes to warm up to new people. Once I do, I am quick with a kiss or a wag of the tail. I have been told I am a bit of a "goof". I don't know exactly what that means, but I believe it has something to do with my love of life and the fact that I will do anything to make you smile.

FUN FACTS

Nickname: My friends call me "Sere", but I also answer to "Kiddo".

Favorite Food: Is this a trick question? I haven't found a food that I don't like. But if I had to pick a favorite it would be any treat that is super smelly.

Favorite Toy: My stuffed duck, definitely my duck. I love shaking it to try to find the squeaker. I should say my stuffed duck was my favorite toy...oh well, at least I found the squeaker.

Hardest Trick to Master: I am struggling with roll-over. I get half way and find myself enjoying lying on my back so much I forgot how I got there.

Biggest Accomplishment: Getting my Canine Good Citizen Certificate. I crammed for months for the test and in the end passed with flying colors.

Least Favorite Thing: It is a tie between going to the vet and getting my ears cleaned.

Dream Home: I would love a home with lots of toys (especially soft ones), treats, belly rubs, long walks and if you have a place for sun bathing that would be an added bonus. But most importantly my dream home would include one where we could spend lots of time together. And while I have made some canine friends, I would prefer, dare I say deserve, to be an only dog, lavished with your affection. Besides, why would I want to share you?

If you are looking for a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally, I am your girl.

To read my story or to watch me in action visit www.RainDogRescue.com. If you are interested in possibly meeting me (which I hope you are) please contact my human friend Jennifer at Raindogrescue@gmail.com.

As an added bonus I come with FREE training for life and I am spayed, de-wormed, micro-chipped, heart-worm tested and up-to-date on vaccinations.
