COVID-19 Update: Effective Monday, Jan 3, 2022

Dear Clients and Friends,

The Covid pandemic has altered the way we work, shop and interact. At AMCOC, we’ve been remarkably fortunate that we have been able to serve our clients every day without any interruption in care.

Due to recent surge in Covid positive cases in our community, we are immediately returning to curbside service for your pet’s care. When you arrive at AMCOC, please call us at 773-525-3353. A veterinary assistant will take your pet’s history over the telephone and then, you will bring your pet to side entrance of building for their examination. The veterinarian will call you with their examination findings and recommendations. The care coordinator will call you for payment at the conclusion of the visit. Your pet will be discharged at the front door.

Additionally, due to the tremendous increase number of prescription requests that we have recently received and our sincerest effort to deliver excellent care to our patients that we are seeing in the hospital, we must modify how we process prescription requests.

For prescription and food requests that are filled at Animal Medical Center of Chicago, please allow 24-hours for them to be processed. When your pet’s prescription is ready for pickup, we will notify you by text.

For prescriptions and food requests filled at our online pharmacy, Vetsource, please allow 24-hours for their approval.

For all other online pharmacy requests (like Chewy and 1800PetMeds), there will be a 48-hour processing time.

Given surge in recently “Covid- inspired” adopted pets, we strongly recommend that you call us at 773-525-3353 a few weeks or even months in advance If you’d like to schedule a well-visit, surgery or dental appointment with the doctor, date and time that matches your busy schedule. If your pet is ill, please call us as soon as possible so that we see your pet in a timely manner.

Wishing you all good health and good times ahead.

Sincerely,

Drs. Donna Solomon, Pam Janik, Tim England, Meg Ogishi, Elaine Simpson and Emily Yacker

and the Staff of AMCOC.
